PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PM sensor for estimating a particulate matter (PM) amount contained in an exhaust gas in real time while effectively reducing a reproduction time.SOLUTION: A sensor comprises: a filter member 31 having a plurality of measurement cells that are sectioned with porous partitions and collect particulate matters in an exhaust gas; a pair of electrode members 32, 33 disposed facing each other and sandwiching the measurement cell between them and form a capacitor; a heater member 34 that heats the measurement cells and burns and removes the particulate matters accumulated in the measurement cells; and an estimation unit 42 for estimating a particulate matter amount contained in the exhaust gas on the basis of an electrostatic capacity between the pair of electrode members 32, 33. |
