ESTOLIDE COMPOUND AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

The present invention comprises the following steps: changing biomass fat into fatty acid, separating C16 saturated fatty acid and C18 unsaturated fatty acid from the fatty acid, preparing linear internal olefin (LIO), increasing the amount of oleic acid through partial hydro-treating of the C18 unsaturated fatty acid, synthesizing estolide polymer through cross metathesis of the oleic acid, capping the C16 saturated fatty acid into the estolide polymer and reacting the estolide polymer and the internal olefin. The estolide polymer from the invention has great oxidation stability and stability at low temperature with no unsaturated synthesis. It is produced by changing remaining fatty acid in biomass fatty acid into linear internal olefin, requires least dependence on oleic acid in making the estolide polymer by increasing the amount of the oleic acid and is efficient in processing and economically because of no need for alcohol.
