PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball whose manufacturing process is simplified and whose durability can be sufficiently improved.SOLUTION: There is provided a material for a golf ball containing (A) one or more kinds of resin components selected from a group consisting of an olefin-unsaturated carboxylic acid random copolymer, an olefin-unsaturated carboxylic acid-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester random copolymer and metal ion neutralized product of these copolymers, (B) one or more kinds of resin components selected from a group of polyethylene, an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and polyesters and (C) a compatibilizer of the (A) component and the (B) component. Further, the constitutional component of the (C) compatibilizer contains (C-i) different two kinds of base polymers selected from a specific group, (C-ii) a hydrogenated diene polymer having at least one kind of a functional group selected from a specific group and (C-iii) an olefinic polymer having at least one kind of a functional group selected from a specific group. |
