PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of suppressing adhesion of scales in a heat exchanger and pipes connected to the heat exchanger.SOLUTION: If a circulation pump 28 is driven after a heat pump unit 2 stops operating and a temperature of hot water detected by a temperature sensor 27 is equal to or higher than a first set temperature, a selector valve 30 is switched to a switch position for introducing the hot water flowing in a second pipe 19 to an upper portion of a tank 14. If the circulation pump 28 is driven after the heat pump unit 2 stops operating and the temperature of the hot water detected by the temperature sensor 27 is lower than the first set temperature, the selector valve 30 is switched to a switch position for introducing the hot water flowing in the second pipe 19 back to a first pipe 18 via a return pipe 29. If the circulation pump 28 is driven after the heat pump unit 2 stops operating and the temperature of the hot water detected by the temperature sensor 27 is equal to or lower than a second set temperature lower than the first set temperature, the driving of the circulation pump 28 is stopped. |
