PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation of steel material temperature upon extraction thereof from a heating furnace by enabling more proper furnace temperature to be set on a charging side.SOLUTION: There is provided a combustion control method of a heating furnace 1 which continuously heating a steel material 3 to be heated while transporting the steel material 3. The furnace is divided into two or more zones from a charging side toward an extraction side, and in the divided zone, combustion control is performed individually. At least a preheating zone 1A being the zone on the charging side is selected as a target, and on the basis of steel material temperature on an inlet of the zone being the target, steel material temperature which is needed on an inlet of the zone being a next zone of the target zone, and residence time of the zone which is the target of the steel material 3 to be heated, furnace temperature of the zone being the target is set. Then, a fuel flow rate and an air flow rate are controlled so that the furnace temperature in the target zone becomes set furnace temperature. |
