PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of suppressing prolonging of printing time on a medium to be printed.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a data analysis section 31 for analyzing a printing job into printing commands and image data; and an image processing section 32 for performing image processing to convert image data to printing data for being printed on continuous form paper. The image processing section 32 includes each program memory 33a and 34a for storing programs for image processing, a data memory 35 for storing image data, a program memory bus 40 capable of transferring the printing commands with the data analysis section 31, a data memory bus 41 capable of transferring image data with the data analysis section 31, a color conversion processing section 33 for performing color conversion processing on image data on the basis of the printing commands and the programs, and a halftone processing section 34 for performing halftone processing on the image data for which the color conversion processing is performed on the basis of the printing commands and the programs. The color conversion processing and the halftone processing are performed in parallel. |
