PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber gasket for a fuel battery that has excellent sealing performance and a large usable compressibility range.SOLUTION: A rubber gasket 5U for a fuel battery is interposed between a first member 4U and a second member 4D which are laminated in a fuel battery 1, and comprises a pedestal portion 50U disposed on the surface of the first member 4U, and a lip portion 51U which has a first mount portion having a curved surface of a curvature radius R1 and a second mountain portion 53U having a curved surface of a curvature radius R2 smaller than the first curvature radius R1 and is brought into elastic contact with the second member 4D. The pedestal portion 50U has a planar slope surface 500U which is provided at a joint portion continuous with a skirt portion of the first mountain portion 52U to be inclined with respect to a plane direction, and when a vertical line drawn from the center of the curvature of the second mountain portion 53U to the first member 4 is set as the center axis A of the second mountain 53U, the center C1 of the curvature of the first mountain portion 52U does not exist on the center axis A.
