PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a reflective display device, by which desired drive energy for a display medium can be efficiently obtained and effective display rewriting can be performed.SOLUTION: When temperature detected by a temperature detection unit is within a first temperature range, a reference potential signal maintaining a given reference voltage value is applied to a common electrode, while a positive first potential signal for applying a voltage value higher than the reference voltage value is applied to a display electrode that corresponds to a display region where rewriting is required. When temperature detected by the temperature detection unit is within a second temperature region lower than the first temperature region, a positive second potential signal for applying a voltage value higher than the reference voltage value is applied to a display electrode that corresponds to a display region where rewriting is required, while a negative third potential signal for applying a voltage value lower than the reference voltage value is applied to the common electrode. |
