PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a customer to recognize a reason why an input bank bill is returned, when the serial number of the bank bill cannot be read.SOLUTION: An automatic teller machine 1 includes: a customer service unit 3 for receiving an operation about a bank bill; a depositing/dispensing port 5 for taking the bank bill from the outside or discharging it to the outside; a conveyance unit for conveying the bank bill; a differentiation unit for reading the serial number of the conveyed bank bill; and a control unit 12 for presenting a handling method information about the serial number to an operation display part 6 when the serial number cannot be read by the differentiation unit. |
