PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range hood which does not conduct electricity to an electric motor when a fan is not mounted, even when an operation action is performed.SOLUTION: In a range hood, a fan 31 is mounted on a shaft 33 rotated by an electric motor 32, and by conducting electricity to the electric motor 32, the fan 31 is rotated and cooking gas generated by cooking is collected by a hood 2 and exhausted. A sensor 8 is provided for detecting the fan 31 mounted on the shaft 33 and for outputting a fan detection signal, and even when an operation action is performed when the sensor 8 does not output the fan detection signal, electricity is not conducted to the electric motor 32. |
