PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor capable of finding deterioration of a handrail or a handrail driving device at an early stage, and capable of preventing occurrence of failure.SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor includes: a footboard 1 which is circularly driven; a footboard driving machine 2 which is a motor for driving the footboard 1; a handrail 4 which is arranged at a lateral side of the footboard 1 and which is circularly driven; a handrail driving device 12 for driving the handrail 4; and a handrail driving machine 5 which drives the handrail driving device 12 and which is a motor provided separately from the footboard driving machine 2. A handrail driving machine current monitoring unit 15 is provided for detecting abnormality in the handrail 4 or the handrail driving device 12 by monitoring a current for driving the handrail driving machine 5. |
