PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent meniscus overflow of a nozzle by suppressing increase in speed and flow rate at refilling with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: There are provided an ink tank 32 for housing ink, a nozzle plate 104 having a plurality of nozzle holes for discharging the ink, a channel plate provided with a plurality of pressurizing liquid chambers communicating with respective nozzle holes, a piezoelectric element for fluctuating a pressure in the pressurizing liquid chamber, a drive IC for applying a drive signal to the piezoelectric element, a claim member provided with a common liquid chamber communicating with a plurality of respective pressurizing liquid chambers, and a negative pressure adjusting mechanism (piston 34) for adjusting a negative pressure applied on the ink near an ink discharge opening of the nozzle hole according to a drive frequency of the drive signal. |
