Provided is a washing machine for reducing impact and noise between a rotor and a coupling which falls suddenly by improving the structure of an elastic member arranged in the upper part of the rotor. The washing machine comprises: a cabinet; a water tank which is arranged to store washing water in the cabinet; a rotary tank which is arranged to be able to rotate in the water tank; a pulsator which is arranged to be able to rotate in the bottom of the inside of the rotary tank; a coupling which moves vertically in the lower part of the rotary tank and selectively delivers rotatory power on the dehydration axis of the rotary tank; a rotor which delivers rotatory power to the washing axis of rotating the pulsator by being arranged in the lower part of the coupling and delivers rotatory power to the coupling so that the dehydration axis is rotated by arranging a power transmission teeth part geared with the coupling when the coupling moves downwards; and an elastic member which touches the rotor before the coupling moving downwards touches the rotor by being combined with the rotor. The elastic member includes an alternative teeth part which replaces at least one tooth in the power transmission teeth part and the alternative teeth part is arranged to have height higher than the height of the power transmission teeth part. |
