INNOVATIVE CARBON-BASED MATERIALS MODIFIED WITH DENDRITIC POLYMERS EXHIBITING ANTI-BACTERIAL ACTION AND/OR INFLUENCE TO THE PHOTOSYNTHETIC OPERATION
摘要
The present invention relates to the development of innovative nanocomposite hybrid materials derived from modified dendritic polymers, namely dendrimerous or hyper-branched polymers interacting via intermolecular forces with carbon-based materials. Said nanocomposite hybrid materials are able to offer stable aqueous dispersions and exhibit intense anti-bacterial action. The present invention describes, for the first time, the influence of said innovative materials to the photosynthetic operation as well as the application of these last as anti-bacterial materials (e.g. surface with bacterial protection). The analytic study of their effect to the photosynthetic operation has shown the unique complete suspension of the photosystem I (no analogous action has so far been cited in bibliography) and the suspension of the activity of the photosystem II up to 50%. Furthermore, the invention relates to a new efficient method dealing with the quantitative determination of the antibacterial action of substances when incorporated to whatever sublayer or material.
