PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately set the SOC of a secondary battery while ensuring deceleration feel in response to a deceleration request.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises a control unit increasing the revolving speed of an engine ENG via a power division mechanism 30 by increasing the revolving speed of a first rotating machine MG1, controls a dog clutch 60 disposed between a rotary shaft 22 of a second rotating machine MG2 and a reduction shaft 53 so that the rotary shaft 22 of the rotating machine 22 is disconnected from the reduction shaft 53, and setting the revolving speed of the second rotating machine MG2 lower than the revolving speed of the reduction shaft 53 if an SOC value of a secondary battery 25 is equal to or higher than a predetermined value and a vehicle deceleration request is generated. |
