PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately correct distortion of an image even when a distance for reading a subject has changed.SOLUTION: There is provided an image reading device capable of reading a subject with an image sensor that photoelectrically converts reflection light from a subject through a lens in a first reading method of reading a fixed subject and a second reading method of reading a subject that is conveyed and moved, the image reading device including: a storage part that stores first distortion data obtained in the first reading method with a lens in the main scanning direction, and a predetermined magnification difference that is generated by a difference between a distance between the lens and a subject in the first reading method and a constant distance between the lens and subject in the second reading method; a data conversion part that converts the first distortion data into second distortion data designed for the second reading method by using the first distortion data and the predetermined magnification difference; and a correction part that corrects distortion in the main scanning direction in the second reading method by using the second distortion data.
