摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the resonance between a fuel pump and peripheral components of the fuel pump at a time of driving the fuel pump to rotate so as to discharge fuel from the fuel pump at a flow volume that can realize a demanded flow volume of fuel supplied to an internal combustion engine while a fuel pressure in a fuel pipe is adjusted to a target value.SOLUTION: In an operating state of a fuel pump 3 driven to rotate in which the frequency of vibration of the pump 3 is a value within a resonance range including an eigen frequency of a fuel tank 2, resonance suppression processing is executed for opening a reduction valve 8 for cutting off the communication between an interior and an exterior of a fuel pipe 4 connected to the fuel pump 3. In response to the opening of the reduction valve 8, a revolving speed of the fuel pump 3 increases and the frequency of vibration increases so as to realize a demanded flow volume of fuel supplied to an internal combustion engine while keeping a fuel pressure in the fuel pipe 4 equal to a target value. As a result, it is possible to suppress the frequency of vibration of the fuel pump 3 from falling within the resonance range A.
