PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hoist for an elevator, which enables an elevator car to be easily hoisted/lowered by human power.SOLUTION: A hoist for an elevator includes: a motor having a stator and a rotor, which are equipped with magnetic pole parts, respectively; a main rope winding member around which a main rope connected to a car is wound and which is coupled with the rotor and rotatably provided; a bearing which has an inner peripheral side connected to the rotor and which supports the main rope winding member on an outer peripheral side; and coupling/release means for coupling or releasing the rotor and the main rope winding member. |
