PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can sufficiently secure running performance on a wet road surface while maintaining high drainage performance, improve noise performance by suppressing passing noise and highly maintain steering stability performance on a dry road surface.SOLUTION: In a shoulder land part 13 are arranged alternately in a tire circumferential direction first lug grooves 16, one end parts of which communicate with outermost main grooves 12 and the other end parts of which terminate in the shoulder land part 13 without reaching a tire grounding end E and second lug grooves 17, one end parts of which terminate in the shoulder land part 13 without reaching the outermost main grooves 12 and the other end parts of which extend beyond the tire grounding end E so that the end parts thereof have overlapping margins S in a tire width direction. On extension lines of the first lug grooves 16 are formed sipes 20, whose groove widths are equal to 1 mm or less, which extend in the tire width direction to be discontinuous with the first lug grooves 16. |
