PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club shaft which is formed by integrating a shaft core material and reinforcement resin fiber that covers its outer peripheral surface so as to omit the work of pulling out the shaft core material after the shaft formation, and whose weight, tensile strength, and tensile modulus of elasticity are appropriate, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A golf club shaft 1 includes a hollow or solid core material 2 and a carbon fiber-reinforced resin-cured body 3 which is wound around the outer periphery of the core material and integrally formed, in which the specific gravity of the core material is 1.2-1.8 g/cm, the tensile modulus of elasticity is 100-700 kgf/mm, the tensile strength is 200×10-1000×10kgf/mm, and the weight of the core material is smaller than the weight of the carbon fiber-reinforced resin-cured body. |
