PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a double-sided adhesive tape that has excellent permeability of an adhesive agent and enough tensile strength, and that can promote the reduction in thickness.SOLUTION: The substrate for the double-sided adhesive tape according to the invention is obtained by making paper from a raw material composed of a main fiber made of polyester and an unstretched single structure fiber made of polyester as main components. The average fiber diameter of the above-mentioned main fiber is 5 μm or more and 15 μm or less. The average paper thickness is 9 μm or more and 20 μm or less. The ratio of the above-mentioned average paper thickness to the average fiber diameter of the main fiber is 1.2 or more and 2.6 or less. The basis weight is 4 g/mor more and 15 g/mor less. The density is 0.3 g/mor more and 0.9 g/mor less. The longitudinal tensile strength and the lateral tensile strength are preferably 3.9 N/15 mm or more and 10 N/15 mm or less. The ratio of the lateral tensile strength to the longitudinal tensile strength is preferably 0.5 or more and 1.0 or less. |
