PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device in which when the light emitting device is inclined (fallen), a direction to raise up the light emitting device can be set in a fixed direction, and a manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: A light emitting device 200 includes: a main body part 210 that is long in one direction and has a plurality of light emitting points arranged on its surface along the one direction; and a leg part 250 that is long in one direction and is provided on the rear side of the main body part 210, where the length of the short direction is shorter than the short direction of the main body part 210 and the center of the short direction is shifted from the center of the short direction of the main body part 210.
