PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the accuracy of character recognition even when a read field is set differently.SOLUTION: The present invention is an optical character recognition device in which, when a central processing unit 16 determines that a character recognition rate is lower than the prescribed threshold of recognition rate, it displays, on a display terminal unit 12, a warning display screen for warning a reduction in the character recognition rate, and displays each item information about a document size, a cut-out position, a recognition font type, a barcode type, and a read rate based on the read field coordinates that could constitute the cause of reduction in the character recognition rate. When any of the displayed item information is selected, the central processing unit 16 displays a change plan for the selected any item of the item information and a format definition parameter for the item, and, when it is determined that the displayed change plan be reflected, changes the format definition parameter on the basis of the change plan. |
