PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of projecting an image that is bright and high in chromatic purity.SOLUTION: An illumination light source device according to the present invention comprises: a phosphor 5 which is irradiated by light from a light source unit 1; a light tunnel 18 for equalizing light from the light source unit 1 and light from the phosphor 5; a light path branching member 3 for branching to a light path for guiding light from the light source unit 1 to the phosphor 5 as excitation light and a light path for guiding it to the light tunnel 18 as illumination light; a light path synthesis member 15 for synthesizing a light path in which light from the phosphor 5 propagates and a light path in which light from the light source unit 1 propagates; a color component selection member 10 arranged in the light path in which light from the phosphor 5 propagates; a condensing lens 11 for condensing light from the phosphor 5; a condensing lens 16 for condensing the light selected by the color component selection member 10; and a condensing lens 17, arranged between the light path synthesis member 15 and the light tunnel 18, for condensing each light onto the light tunnel 18, the power of the condensing lens 11 being larger than the power of the condensing lens 17. |
