The invention relates to a device and method for retaining cells contained in a liquid sample, said device comprising: a means for filtering a liquid sample, including a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet; and a liquid absorption means associated with the liquid outlet of the filtration means and capable of absorbing the liquid through the filtration means. The filtration means is provided with a plurality of through-pores, each connecting the liquid inlet to the liquid outlet by means of an inner pore surface, said through-pores each comprising an inlet opening at the location of the liquid inlet and an outlet opening at the location of the liquid outlet. The maximum dimension of the outlet opening of each through-pore is greater than the maximum dimension of the inlet opening of said through-pore. |
