Lubas (Spondias Pinnata) leaves and fruits can be processed into delicacies and pastry products. As observed there are none yet available prepared seasonings in the market out of lubas leaves hence the product was conceptualized by processing it into seasonings. Processing seasoning from Lubas leaves comprising the following steps: a.) gathering fresh Lubas leaves from the farm, b.) weighing the fresh leaves with standard scale, c.) sun-drying fresh leaves for 2 days at 37oF, e.) pulverizing dried with the use of grinder, f) Sifting the ground dried leaves for a more refined texture, g.) Packaging the finished product using readymade tea bag. For every kilo of fresh Lubas leaves, 1/4 kilo were yield and 40 packs of finished product were produced weighing l0g/pk. The final product can now be utilized as seasoning for any stewed dishes. |
