EXPANSION JOINT REPAIRING CONSTRUCTION METHOD USING COMPRESSION SEAL

A repair method for an expansion joint using a compression seal is disclosed. The repair method for an expansion joint using a compression seal comprises: a step a) of removing post-placed concrete of a bridge or a structure, removing an expansion joint device, and removing foreign materials; a step b) of arranging reinforcing bars in both sides, arranging a form for securing a lower clearance, and installing a form for securing an elastic concrete placing space; a step c) of placing and curing rapid hardening modified concrete in a space where the reinforcing bars are arranged; a step d) of securing a fitting clearance for installing a form for securing an upper clearance and inserting the bottom end of the form for securing an upper clearance into the fitting clearance; a step e) of placing and curing elastic concrete in the elastic concrete placing space, removing the form for securing an upper clearance, and grinding the surface of the cured elastic concrete; and a step f) of coupling a compression seal to the inner surface of the elastic concrete. According to the present invention, the repair method for an expansion joint using a compression seal enables the rapid and cost-efficient repair of an expansion joint of a bridge or a structure by placing and curing elastic concrete and coupling the compression seal to the clearance formed between both side parts where elastic concrete is placed.
