A text information input method and device, the method comprising: when detecting that all or part of the current on-screen text information is deleted, determining first and second text information (101), the first text information comprising a string of key inputs corresponding to all the on-screen text information, all the on-screen text information, and the number of backspacing times for deletions, and the second text information comprising text information redisplayed on the screen following the appearance of the first text information; according to the first text information, calculating a selection probability of selecting the second text information for display on the screen (102); displaying the second text information in a specified position when the selection probability is greater than a preset probability threshold (103). The method and device can effectively reduce user keying, increase input efficiency and realize quick and simple input, thus improving user experience and reducing consumption of device system resources. |
