PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a broadcast station side which broadcasts a broadcast content to control whether to permit remote viewing of the broadcast content by a receiving device.SOLUTION: The receiving device comprises: a demultiplexing unit which demultiplexes a broadcast wave obtained by multiplexing a descriptor containing remote viewing propriety information indicating whether or not to permit remote viewing of a content transmitted by the broadcast wave; and an extractor which extracts the remote viewing propriety information contained in the descriptor demultiplexed by the demultiplexing unit.
