Also provided is a non-aqueous secondary battery that uses the electrolyte solution that has the abovementioned superior characteristics. [Solution] An electrolyte solution for a non-aqueous secondary battery, the electrolyte solution containing an electrolyte and a compound that is represented by formula (I). In the formula, M represents a metal element. R1 and R2 represent a substituent. R3 and R4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent. R1-R4 may each independently form an aliphatic or aromatic ring. If adjacent, R1-R4 may be linked to each other. a and b each independently represent an integer from 0 to 5. c and d each independently represent 1 or 2. L represents a linking group that has at least one of an allene linking group, a cumulene linking group, and an alkyne linking group.
