[Problem] To obtain a paper carton wherein faces, which can be manufactured with prior art filling machines, are formed on corners of the body section. [Solution] In a gable top paper carton, of the vertical body section fold lines (1, 2, 3, 4) that are provided between four body section panels (5, 6, 7, 8) for forming the corners of the cylindrical body section (10), a vertical body section fold line (4) for forming one corner is configured from: slanted fold line sections (36a, 36b, 37a, 37b), which have an upper intersection point where an imaginary tangent (33) between the adjacent body section panels (5, 8) and top horizontal fold lines (11, 18) intersect and a lower intersection point where the imaginary tangent (33) and bottom horizontal fold lines (24, 29) intersect as apices (34, 35), and which form prescribed angles with the imaginary tangent (33) from the respective apices (34, 35) and are provided on the adjacent body section panels (5, 8) with prescribed lengths; and roughly parallel vertical fold line sections (38a, 38b) provided so as to connect the ends of the slanted fold line sections (36a, 36b, 37a, 37b), which are provided on the adjacent body section panels (5, 8) to face each other vertically, to each other. A face (39) encompassed by the slanted fold line sections (36a, 36b, 37a, 37b) and the roughly parallel vertical fold line sections (38a, 38b) is formed on the corner formed by the vertical body section fold line (4) so as not to overlap a vertical edge bonding section (40), which is bonded by a vertical seal panel (9). |
