PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a glass substrate that can achieve efficient heat exchange with a molded glass sheet in excellent controllability in a space where the glass sheet is cooled.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a glass substrate, cooling rate controlling members 41a-41f are installed in at least a part of a space where a glass sheet 90 discharged from a molding die 10 is cooled to a neighborhood of an annealing point. A rear cooling space 422, which is installed with the cooling rate controlling members 41a-41f sandwiched between itself and the glass sheet 90, is composed of cooling chambers 422a-422f arranged along the direction of travel of the glass sheet 90. The cooling chambers 422a-422f are cooled by coolers 51a-51f. A cooler 51b is equipped with a heat insulation plate 52b and a refrigerant pipe 53b. The heat insulation plate 52b inhibits heat transfer between a cooling chamber 422b and a space adjacent to the cooling chamber 422b along the direction of travel of the glass sheet 90. The refrigerant pipe 53b in which a liquid refrigerant flows cools the cooling chamber. |
