PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for delivering botulinum toxin only to intended locations.SOLUTION: Provided is a nanoemulsion comprising at least one botulinum toxin and a population of particles, where more than 50% of the particles have diameters of 10-300 nm. In certain embodiments of the nanoemulsion, the botulinum toxin is a botulinum toxin complex selected from type A, type B, type C1, type C2, type D, type F and type G, containing a non-toxin hemagglutinin protein and a non-toxin and non hemagglutinin protein, and the toxin is incorporated in an albumin matrix. The nanoemulsion is prepared by high pressure microfluidization or the like and used for cosmetic and medical treatment of muscular contracture states. |
