PURPOSE:To eliminate the variance in the contact resistance between respective lead terminals and eliminate the variance in the coloring density between display patterns by providing a thin metallic layer by plating or vapor deposition, etc. on a transparent conductive film of lead terminal attaching part on a display electrode side and bringing the lead terminal into contact with the thin metallic layer. CONSTITUTION:The thin metallic layer 5 is formed by plating or vapor deposition, etc. and in this embodiment, said layer consists of a nickel layer formed to 3mum thickness by electroplating of nickel. The lead terminal 4 fits a grasping part 4a to the end of a display electrode substrate 1 as a lower piece 4a2 of the grasping part 4a contacts the thin metallic layer 5 consisting of a nickel plating layer. The display electrode substrate 1 is grasped by the restoring force of the upper piece 4a1 and lower piece 4a2 of the grasping part 4a. The lower piece 4a2 of the grasping part 4a is welded to the thin metallic layer 5 and is fixed to the display electrode substrate 1.
