The present disclosure provides a built-in touch control display device and a driving method thereof. A shielding layer is arranged between a data line and a touch control driving electrode, and a touch control driving signal is transmitted to the corresponding touch control driving electrode when a first grid line set corresponding to a common electrode is in an opening state, and the touch control driving signal is stopped from transmitting to the touch control driving electrode when a second grid line set corresponding to the touch control driving electrode is in an opening state.
