The present application defines a system for treating domestic sewage by biodigestion, consisting of a single-unit reactor divided into chambers, which is horizontally operated, below ground level, as a closed system, and with ascending flow, which is lightly churned by biomass baffles, in which putrefactive bacteria develop. Said single unit is made up of chambers (A), (C) and (D), wherein feed enters the upper portion of the first chamber (A) by means of the input tube (8), said chamber (A) being divided in half by the partition (11) attached to the upper portion of the chamber (A), the base of which is located at a height of approximately one tenth of the total height of the chamber (A), said partition dividing the chamber (A) into two parts of equal volume, the lower portions of which are in communication with each other, such that the liquid effluents admitted to the upper portion of the first half of the chamber (A) are forced to descend to where the partition (11) ends and then have ascending movement in the second half (B) of the chamber (A), percolating the surfaces of the biomass substrates (13), formed by bamboo culms, Indian shot, southern cattail, corn stalks, etc. when in movement (descending or ascending). |
