PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact wide-angle lens which has a large aperture and yet offers sufficiently reduced aberrations and a light-weight focusing lens, and to provide an image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: A wide-angle lens comprises, in order from the object side, a front lens group GF having positive refractive power, a single focusing lens Fo having negative refractive power, and a rear lens group GR having positive refractive power, where the focusing lens Fo moves along an optical axis while focusing, and satisfies the following conditional expressions (1) and (2): 0.1<f/SSD<0.5 ...(1), 3.0≤f/f ...(2), where frepresents a focal length of the front lens group, SSD represents a distance from a most-object-side lens surface of the wide-angle lens to an imaging plane when focused on an object at infinity, frepresents a focal length of a combined lens system of the focusing lens and the rear lens group, and f represents a focal length of the entire wide-angle lens system. |
