Disclosed is a text input keyboard comprising a space key, a shift key, and a control key, wherein: when eight fingers, i.e., the left and right index fingers, middle fingers, ring fingers, and little fingers, are placed on eight keys in the middle row of a character key layout, which are referred to as home positions in keyboard operation, the point where each of the left and right thumbs is passively located is defined as the home position of each thumb; three keys, each having a width that is 1 to 1.5 times the width of each of the other character keys, are provided at the respective home positions of the left and right thumbs and in the middle thereof; and the shift key is arranged at one of the thumb home positions, the space key is arranged at the other thumb home position, and one control key is arranged in the middle of the two thumb home positions. |
