PURPOSE:To remove only burrs thoroughly with almost no cutting a workpiece body, by installing a follow-up mechanism for grinding load adjustment in at least one side of a workpiece, a grinding wheel itself or the workpiece side or grinding wheel side. CONSTITUTION:A Z-axis feed motion 22 is moved by a Z-axis feed motor 18, and a grinding wheel 12 is fed to a Z-axis direction. A frame 34 is supported on slide bearings 32 and 32 installed in a horizontal shaft 26 on top of an upper table 24 of the Z-axis feed motion 22. A follow-up mechanism 46, which feeds the frame 34 crosswise and makes it follow up the surface of a workpiece, is installed in this upper table 24. While the follow-up mechanism 46 is securing the ability of cutting a burr small in grinding resistance as compared with a body of a workpiece 10, the workpiece 10 body large in the grinding resistance is left uncut intact because of being uncuttable with pressing force of the follow-up mechanism 46, thus the burr alone is cuttable.
