An actuator (100) includes an extendable and contractible part (1) having an extendable and contractible element that is extended or contracted so as to be displaced in a predetermined direction and also includes displacement increasing mechanisms (2, 2') that serve as attachments to the extendable and contractible part so that the extending or contracting displacement of the extendable and contractible element is conveyed thereto. The actuator (100) further includes engaging sections (7, 8) at which the ends of the extendable and contractible part (1) and the displacement increasing mechanisms (2, 2') are removably engaged with each other. The ends of the extendable and contractible part (1) and the displacement increasing mechanisms (2, 2') are engaged with each other so that the extendable and contractible part (1) is fixed so as not to move in any direction other than the extending or contracting direction. |
