1. A method, in a data processing system, for monitoring performance of a computing machine, the method comprising the repetition of:
collecting, by a processor in the data processing system, a current indicator representing a current value of a performance indicator of the computing machine; comparing, by the processor, the current indicator with at least one previous indicator representing a previous value of the performance indicator of the computing machine; responsive to the current indicator being outside a threshold of the at least one previous indicator, transmitting, by the processor, the current indicator remotely to a resource via a communication network; and responsive to the current indicator being within the threshold of the at least one previous indicator, disabling, by the processor, the transmission of the current indicator. |
