A drain plug device (1) is provided with a plug lid (24), a mounting member (31) inserted into an overflow port (104), an operation handle (35) rotatably mounted to correspond to an opening of one end of the mounting member (31) while protruding from a surface of a sidewall (102), a transmitting member (4) for transmitting, to the plug lid (24), a driving force resulting from a rotational operation of the operation handle (35), and a handle moving means (33) configured to enable movement of the operation handle (35). The handle moving means (33) allows the amount by which the operation handle (35) protrudes from the surface of the sidewall (102) when a drain port (103) is opened, to be less than the amount by which the operation handle (35) protrudes from the surface of the sidewall (102) when the drain port (103) is closed. Thus, convenience, appearance, etc., may be improved, and simultaneously, good draining ability may be ensured at the overflow port (104) when water is drained from the overflow port (104). |
