METHOD FOR MEASURING REACTIVITY IN A LIGHT WATER REACTOR

The method for measurement reactivity is applicable to the light water reactors using digital meter of reactivity and evaluating the control bank worth measurement with rod insertion method implemented in the digital meter of reactivity. The rod worth measurement is performed during continuous rod movement into the core and while the core goes deeply into subcritical region, including measuring of the current signal which is proportional to the neutron flux, i.e. reactor power by a first electrometer (3), measuring the voltage signal representing the temperature of the core by a second electrometer (2) and also performing primary smoothing through the integration, digitally transferring signals to the computer (5), performing secondary and tertiary smoothing of the flux signal and calculating the reactivity.
