A method and an apparatus for minimum shooting automatic exposure by using a noise-aware linear model are disclosed. An automatic exposure control method provided in the present invention comprises the steps of: obtaining a first image captured in a first frame by using a first exposure time and a first amplification ratio; updating an exposure time from the first exposure time to a second exposure time; calculating a histogram with respect to the first image if the exposure time has been updated to the second exposure time; modifying the histogram with respect to the first image on the basis of saturated pixels; and extracting a target exposure time on the basis of the modified histogram with respect to the first image.
