In order to improve emission performance while effectively preventing the device from becoming larger or more costly, this air purification system is provided with a first oxidation catalyst (31) which is provided in an exhaust system (16) of an internal combustion engine (10) and which can generate NO2 from NO, a second oxidation catalyst (32) which is provided in the exhaust system (16) downstream from the first oxidation catalyst (31) and which can oxidize SOF, and a selective reduction catalyst (41) which is provided in the exhaust system (16) downstream from the second oxidation catalyst (32) and which reduces and purifies NOx in the exhaust with NH3 generated from urea water as the reducing agent. |
