An image processing device (1) equipped with: a vessel sharpness calculation unit (110) for calculating the vessel sharpness indicating the sharpness of a through-blood vessel image in a mucous membrane region, which is a region in which an endoluminal mucous membrane is captured in an endoluminal image; an abnormality candidate region extraction unit (120) for extracting a reduced sharpness region, which is a region of reduced vessel sharpness, as a candidate region for an abnormality region, which is a region from which a through-blood vessel image has been locally lost; and an abnormality region determination unit (130) for determining whether or not the candidate region is an abnormality region, on the basis of the shape of the candidate region.
