PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a color data processing section which performs color conversion processing on image data for an image of a printing object, which is expressed by a color of a prescribed color space, by using a color conversion table for first color and generates printing image data for color; and a monochrome data processing section for extracting data for one color component in data of a plurality of types of color components included in image data as monochrome printing image data. The monochrome data processing section can generate the monochrome printing image data by simple processing for extracting data for one color component from the image data without using the monochrome color conversion table or without using the printing image data for color. Thus, a circuit scale for generating the monochrome printing image data can remarkably be reduced and a structure of the image forming apparatus can be simplified. |
