PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device capable of suppressing the generation of noise while maintaining the smooth rotation of a shaft 302 passing through a plain bearing 301, and an image forming device provided therewith.SOLUTION: A grease composition is not interposed in a clearance between a plain bearing 301 and a shaft 302, at least either the plain bearing 301 or the shaft 302 is made of a resin, the range of the clearance is controlled to 10 to 110[μm], the weight ratio between hydrocarbon base group oil and lithium soap incorporated into the grease composition is controlled to the range of 94.5:5.5 to 96.0:4.0, and also, the consistency of the grease composition is controlled to the range of 360 to 400.
