PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel manufacturing method capable of conducting under moderate conditions and manufacturing a metal oxide nanowire having high specific surface area.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method includes a process of an alkali treatment of an alloy containing at least one kind of metal element (M) and at least one kind of amphoteric metal element (A) and optionally non-metallic element (D) as a doping agent. An atomic ratio of the metal element (M), the non-metallic element (D) and the amphoteric metal element (A) (M+D:A) is preferably 90:10 to 1:99. The atomic ratio of the metal element (M) and the non-metallic element (D) (M:D) is preferably 100:0 to 50:50. The alkali treatment is preferably conducted at the temperature of less than 100°C. |
