loading a medical image data set of a patient into a computer; in said computer, automatically identifying and delineating an image region that contains a lesion, within said medical image data set; in said computer, automatically identifying a background region within said image region; in said computer, automatically calculating a segmentation of said lesion by comparison of said lesion with said background region; and from said computer, causing the segmented lesion to be visually displayed at a display screen in communication with said computer. |
